Deej is a leader in the fields of somatic education and embodied counselling. His work supports clients to mobilize their capacities for growth, learning and change.

He supports the development of somatic work in Australia and internationally through professional trainings for embodied counsellors and somatic sex educators, and professional supervision for people who work, or want to work, somatically.

Deej has over 35 years experience in adult education, teacher training, embodied counselling and various forms of bodywork. He was the founding president of the Somatic Sex Educators’ Association of Australasia, and is a co-director of the Institute of Somatic Sexology. He was awarded Somatic Sex Educator of the Year for 2016 at the Sexual Freedom Awards in London.

He teaches on the Introductory Certificate in Embodied Counselling, the Certificate in Embodied Counselling, the Certificate in Somatic Sex Coaching, the Certificate in Somatic Sex Education and Modules 1 and 2 of the Certificate in Sexological Bodywork.

Uma Ayelet Furman, CSB is one of Australasia’s leading somatic sex educators, with many years of experience working with individuals, people in relationships, and groups. Uma has innovated somatic sex education through her grounded breaking work in client-centred practice.

Based in Brisbane, Australia, Uma works internationally, specializing in supporting people to work somatically through sexual issues and concerns.

She teaches on the Certificate in Sexological Bodywork, the Certificate in Somatic Sex Education and the Certificate in Somatic Sex Coaching.

Joseph Kramer, Ph.D., is the foremost teacher of erotic bodywork in the world. In 1984, he founded the Body Electric School in Oakland, California, where he trained thousands of professional massage therapists, erotic bodyworkers and somatic educators. In 1992, he started the Erospirit Research Institute, a think tank exploring the connection between spirituality and sexuality. He has also created two online schools offering trainings in erotic bodywork and erotic yoga- The New School of Erotic Touch and The Orgasmic Yoga Institute.

He produces Module One of the Certificate in Sexological Bodywork.

Ellen Heed offers Sexological Bodywork students lessons in postpartum sexuality, smooth muscle massage, functional anatomy, erectile tissue discoveries in women, and scar tissue remediation. She has spent over 10,000 hours as a bodyworker and nutritional consultant, and holds certifications as a Sexological Bodyworker, Shiatsu Specialist, Craniosacral Therapist, and Facia Manipulation Specialist. She is also an international teacher of human anatomy and a yoga teacher.

She teaches anatomy and physiology on the Certificate in Sexological Bodywork and the Certificate in Somatic Sex Education.

Dr. Martin has had her hands on people professionally for over 30 years. First as a Chiropractor, and later as a Body Electric School trained Sacred Intimate, Certified Sexological Bodyworker, and Foundations of Facilitation trainer.

Therapeutic training includes Chiropractic, Somato-Respiratory Integration, Educational Kinesiology, Reiki, Neuro-Emotional Integration. In more recent years, her erotic education has included included sensual massage, Taoist Erotic Massage, Kashmiri tantric massage and Sexological Bodywork.

Her Wheel of Consent informs all ISS programs, and is taught on the Certificate in Sexological Bodywork.

In practice for 12 years, Dr. Martha Tara Lee is a Relationship Counselor & Clinical Sexologist. She holds a doctorate in human sexuality, masters in counselling, two others degrees and many other qualifications. Based in Singapore, she is the only certified sexuality educator and certified sexuality educator supervisor by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) in Singapore. 

Often cited in the media, Dr. Lee is the appointed Resident Sexologist for PinkLifestyle.com. She was recognised as one of ‘Top 50 Inspiring Women under 40’ by Her World in July 2010, and one of ‘Top 100 Inspiring Women’ by CozyCot in March 2011. She is the author of four books.

She teaches on the Professional Certificate in Working with Vaginismus.

Georgia Grace is a certified sex & relationship practitioner, somatic therapist, educator and best-selling author. Through her private practice, Georgia has become a trusted practitioner in the field of somatic sexology, embodied counselling, and trauma-informed approaches, where she supports not only individuals but couples and groups.

Outside the therapy room, Georgia has developed and facilitated educational courses both locally and globally for Universities, brands, companies, clinics and therapists on issues relating to sex and sexuality. Georgia is also a writer, a media commentator and the co-founder of Normal, a sexual wellness company.

She teaches on the Introductory Certificate in Embodied Counselling.

Kirstie is an Intimacy & Attraction Workshop Teacher®, Somatic Sex & Intimacy Coach, Ayurvedic practitioner, and yoga teacher based in Aotearoa New Zealand. Her private practice weaves Eastern wisdom with current neuroscience, offering clients a holistic pathway to deeper wellbeing and satisfaction in the dimensions of both health and intimate relationships. An experienced retreat and workshop facilitator, Kirstie creates transformative spaces and life-affirming possibilities through her unique blend of experiential embodiment practices and wellbeing teachings. Guided by Kirstie’s integrated framework, people embrace their capacity to live well and love deeply.

She teaches on the Certificate in Somatic Sex Coaching.

Bia Bliss CSB, CEC is a Holistic Intimacy & Relationships Coach, Embodied Counselling Practitioner, and graduate of the Institute of Somatic Sexology.
Rooted in body-based wisdom and evidence-informed practices, her trauma-informed work facilitates integration across mind, body, heart, and spirit. A former escort and lifelong student of the erotic and mystical, Bia supports clients in healing emotional and sexual blockages, reclaiming pleasure, and living authentically in and out of the bedroom.
Based in Aotearoa New Zealand, she supports ADHDers, queer, and deeply feeling humans to feel at home in their own skin through online 1:1 sessions, courses, workshops, and in-person retreats.

She teaches and organizes the Erotic Embodiment classes, and is the ISS Enrolments Officer.

In 1975 Ray began teaching erotic massage to people of all sexual orientations in San Francisco. His 1989 Erotic Massage — the Touch of Love book was the first instructional book to illustrate genital massage and has sold over a million copies worldwide.

He taught many somatic modalities and wrote/created over a dozen books and DVDs on sacred sexuality including Women of the Light: The New Sacred Prostitute, Sacred Orgasms, and The Essential Tantra. He also co-created the 90-minute documentary The Sacred Prostitute and a recent documentary, Path of the Sexual Shaman: Teachings on Energy, Orgasm, and Wisdom. Ray is the former vice-president of the Association of Sexual Energy Professionals.

Ray was an important pioneer of somatic sexology. His teachings have had a great influence on us, for which we are eternally grateful. He is loved, and deeply missed.
