Graduate Diploma in Somatic Sexology

Overview

The Graduate Diploma in Somatic Sexology is the most powerful thorough and life changing educational pathway available.

Candidates complete the Certificate in Embodied Counselling, the Certificate in Somatic Sex Coaching, and the Certificate in Somatic Sex Education, then through the CSSE Graduate Program complete the Somatic Sexology Research program, and submit their research to the Directors of ISS. Upon approval, candidates are awarded the Graduate Diploma in Somatic Sexology.

You can work at your own pace, and focus your studies in the order that interests you.

Length of Study

It is recommended the programme be completed in 4 years, but candidates can take up to 6 years to complete the programme.

 

Component Trainings

Each component training contributes a different aspect to your comprehensive training as a somatic sexologist.

Introductory Certificate in Embodied Counselling (ICEC) – a thorough introduction to the core principles of client-centred somatic practitioner work. Core skill sets are embodiment coaching and embodied counselling. Certificate in Embodied Counselling (CEC) – develop mastery in the art of being a somatic practitioner, and trauma-informed practice. The Certificate in Embodied Counselling equips you to work as an Embodied Counselling Practitioner. Completing the ICEC is a pre-requisite. Click here for more information.

 

Certificate in Somatic Sex Coaching (CSSC) – this component equips you to work somatically with your clients’ erotic content, without the need for erotic touch. You work with a wide range of somatic realms, including psychological, physiological, and relational, through a structured coaching modality which effectively activates change.  Click here for more information.

 

Certificate in Sexological Bodywork (CSB) – offers comprehensive training in the anatomy and physiology of pleasure and arousal, and all the things that get in the way. You develop a thorough understanding of bodies and how they work, through an in-depth hands-on component, and also learn an effective methodology for teaching erotic embodiment skills to groups. The CSB training supports practitioners in effectively moving significant amounts of their own shame, to be able to work comfortably with a richly diverse range of people. Certificate in Somatic Sex Education (CSSE) – this second-year programme runs concurrently with the CSB training, focusing on mentorship, supervision and group facilitation. Completing the CSB is a pre-requisite. Click here for more information.

 

CSSE Graduate Programme – focused around your research, your programme is developed individually with you based on your professional interests. It runs concurrently with a CSB programme, with direct mentorship provided by Deej and Uma, the Directors of ISS. Completing the CSB and CSSE trainings are pre-requisites.
